    125cc cam chain tension problems

Further to this. I had a look at the Lifan downloads on the DHZ site and it seems you are missing the whole tensioner assembly. Dunno what that spring is actually for?

    125cc cam chain tension problems

I don't know anything about this engine but do know that the way you have it now the spring is not exerting much pressure on the tensioner arm. The spring should be mostly compressed unless the chain is completely worn out and I am guessing there is some other part missing that captures the base...

Need info on OKO 28mm carb

Hi, I have a 28mm OKO carb. It does not have a power jet on the inlet side of the carb but for some reason it has a brass spigot mounted on top of the rear portion of the carb outlet that faces the head adjacent to the choke. This brass spigot goes through to a small jet on the outlet side of...

    Zongshen 190cc

Yeah PE28 mate. Typo? Now on 20 main jet and still seems too rich. Plenty of get up and go from idle to 3/4 throttle but not much after that. Bike gets to easily and cruises at 100 to 110 kph (60 - 65mph) uphill or down hill but not much left after that. My Z140 in a postie is slightly quicker...

    Zongshen 190cc

Got onto the main jet today (Z190) and a bit disappointed. Running a 125 main and seems to be too rich. Transitions and runs cleanly right up to 3/4 throttle and then nothing much more. Misses and produces little extra. Dropped back to a 120 main but have not yet had a chance to test. Runs much...

    Zongshen 190cc

I will take some pictures tomorrow and attempt to post them. It actually doesn't look much different from the original with the small oil cooler and the positioning of the carb being the only give aways to someone who knows what they are looking at.

    Zongshen 190cc

Update on the Zongshen 190 Honda S90 build. Starts easily hot or cold on the electric but almost impossible to kick start cold. Motor is very tight with only 200km - usual vibration from a tight engine but expect this to disappear as it did with with my Z140 postie bike build. Clutch adjustment...

    Zongshen 190cc

I have just fitted the Zongshen 190cc engine to a 1969 Honda S90. It has a Pro Circuit copy exhaust system from DHZ and a genuine Keihin PE28 with 40 slow and 125 main Jets. Early days yet as it has only covered 100km since the build but it runs strongly and smoothly and the gearbox is light and...

    OKO 26 on Zonshen 140

Thanks All for the advice. The problem is now solved. The throttle cable was sticking at the throttle (handlebar) end. That was fixed easily. The new air filter appeared to have been oiled but on closer inspection it was not. I oiled it and now the engine runs well and idles properly with a 36...

    Zongschen 140 wasted spark?

    Thanks for the info.

    Zongschen 140 wasted spark?

I have a Zongschen 140 and am thinking of fitting an inductive tachometer. What I need to know is if the spark plug fires every second revolution of the crankshaft as is normal on a four stroke or if it actually fires every revolution of the crankshaft meaning there is a wasted spark. Any...

    OKO 26 on Zonshen 140

Yes well starting to get somewhere. Found that the throttle was intermittently binding in its handlebar mount. Pulled it apart, removed all the grime and it is now completely free. Problem one solved. Went back to a 100 main and 42 slow and it now idles well hot, transitions well and pulls hard...
