FS: [WA] 2012 Motovert 160 pro

ITEM AND CONDITION: 160cc Big bore with 12/14 fork and swing arm setup As heading states, I have had this bike for quite a while, but spent more time modifying it than riding it. Bought new from Motorbike City, Ferntree Gully in VIC. A bit dirty from dried out mud but rips super hard with...

    re-assembling cases. help

ah nice link, I have found shift drum retaining bolt needed to go in, had some movement in the drum without it, shift star was sitting 1mm out of position. causing selector arm to sit on outer surface of star rather than on the selection points. all tightened up. top end is back on and looking...

    re-assembling cases. help

shift drum bolt, that's the one. followed the print out I have of gearing assembly to the key so haven't altered any dimensions. should having gearing dropped to neutral allow full continuous movement through motor?

    re-assembling cases. help

So a good few months ago, my bike was not dropping into second gear and had to skip to third. Finally it jammed in 2nd and there goes my bike. Troy at Rocko said too expensive to fix. I have fitted both new gear shafts(damaged) with original kick start, clutch plates, piston. everything...

    CS8 bearing-kick start setup?

PROBLEM SOLVED! only took me 2 hours flat to pull it off the bike, strip it down, reconfigure the kickstart shaft and get it back, ready to drop in this morning.. I thought the internal spring spun the adjacent pinion with 4 pins but not the case. I had to pre load the spring in order to...

    CS8 bearing-kick start setup?

carby runs mint. so I got the engine together and back on the bike, but I was a little concerned with the kickstart spring mechanism. eg coil with a catch at either end, engages the notches on the adjacent pinion and with the added tension from spring, helps to turn shaft with less effort...

    CS8 bearing-kick start setup?

The good news is I got my bike back, new valve clearances of 0.006/0.008 and had some work done on the magneto. runs mint. Went out for another ride this morning and found my kick start was stuffed... no ride today. Lifan 160cc Got home and pulled it apart. Shaft and pinions are all in tact...

    Recurring motovert pain

"If you can't get it to idle, or rather the idle stays real high then drops off and dies, check for an air leak at the carb manifold. Squirt some gas or starting fluid on the manifold and see if the revs change. If they do, you have a leak. If your valves clearances are too tight, it will also...

    Recurring motovert pain

I had played with the setup on the previous carb for it to run perfect... until I came across this problem. Swapping out to this carb that was running perfect on his I think they were 125 + 170, from memory. at which point some fine tuning would be done. yet I find the exact problem with this...

    Recurring motovert pain

UPDATE. Was recently hooked up with a genuine 28mm Mikuni carb to swap out with the origami replica. The quality of the design and parts is so obvious! super impressed with it. Still with some concerns though.. Still takes 1/4+ throttle to fire up and hold high idle, the sound of the...
