Have you tightened the chain? Otherwise it looks like the pitch of the chain is different to the sprocket, if this is the chain and sprocket that have always been on the bike the chain and sprockets will need replacing as over time cheap chains will stretch killing the sprockets pitch, I have...

how you had it looks fine. looks as if the caliper is floating too far dropping the pad from the black retainer. the metal clip just stops the pad jumping around.

just watch when these engine kick back real hard they can jump the kick starter teeth and split the right side centre case, which is a pain to fix, try pushing the kick start to a point where you can feel the compression kick in then give it a major stomp. this should over come the kickback too.

yeah i would def upgrade to a unifilter from one of those i have had one in the past they are non cleanable as they run a paper element under the mesh and quite often the resin breaks dropping of the filter or chrome end cap allowing dirt in.
