DHZ dpro 160 or DHZ outlaw 140

I'm gonna swing the other way here. Having owned the outlaw140 for about 2 years i can't say i'm looking for more power on it. Geared to hit 100k's at top of 4th, i wouldn't want to go a lot faster than that on a china bike haha. A mate of mine has the 160 and yeah, power wheelies...

    Front brake lever problem

hahaha so just, buy a whole new system and ride that till it falls apart? :P Not worth worrying about trying to chuck a new lever and reservoir on and bleeding that etc?

    Front brake lever problem

Hey guys, On my last ride on the old outlaw 140, i was experiencing gradual pressure decrease in the front brake system, but power was still there. Just, the bite point was moving closer to the bars. It eventually started clanging around, as something completely fell out the lever. D: Had...

Will not rev with choke off.

Just thought i'd update, all fixed after all of that. Had another problem where the carby's choke wouldn't stay off, only slightly but enough to mess things up, all sorted now though, thanks.

    Uni Filter Split

Cheers Cactus Jack, never thought about it affecting the air filter, there's a fair amount of misleading information thrown about the place haha, it does make sense though. When you say use soapy water, do you mean a mild soap like diluted handwash (if dishwashing liquid is unsafe)?

    Uni Filter Split

So the Unifilter i bought a few months ago, has a smooth rubber flange which refuses to stay on my carby, unless i manage to get it just right and clamp it tight, unlike the stock airfilter which has ribs and will happily stay in place. The Unifilter has split completely now, which would be...

Will not rev with choke off.

Yeah, properly took the carby apart and cleaned it out, fair bit of dirt in there, and also over a pea sized amount of water sitting there, along with the rust that it formed. I've done a bit more work on the bike and before putting the carby back on to test, i took my exhaust pipe off, which...

Will not rev with choke off.

Yeah was a bit of crap in the carbie, should be sweet now cheers :)

Will not rev with choke off.

I do hose down the bike with the air filter on and it does get soaked, but never had an issue before. i'll give that a shot now then, cheers.

Will not rev with choke off.

hey guys, i am completely stuck here, and before i do any random dismantling want to see if i've missed something. i have a dhz outlaw 140, for about a year and has run pretty much fine untill a week ago. The bike was running a bit rough, so i changed the oil. next ride the bike had a massive...

    Inner tube wear

Cheers mate i'll give that a shot. Was a bit of sand in the tyre too that probably didnt help, tyre pressures too low? Might be a bit off topic but with a rim locker, whats the minimum PSI you would go on sand/limestone? thankss

    Inner tube wear

Hey guys i got a problem got a 6 month old dhz 140 outlaw got first flat tyre the other day, turns out the inner tube has worn out around the tyre clamping thingo? I didn't think it was smart to just whack another tube in there, and way to resolve this problem? i've attached a picture.

    linkage, how it works

my bushings in the shock eyelets have gone already , 4thish ride eek! Wogtaz ryder, i don't want to sound like im having a go here, i'm a bit confused how a 300lb spring linkage would work better than a 1000lb one due to the shock being under less pressure? Surely the damping systems are...

    Bogging and responsivenss problems

Roll the throttle! Aha, my dhz does the same thing kinda always has, it even bogs going WOT when i change up into any gear, im keen to find out if there's a simple solution i haven't thought about ( and yes, ive done my valve clearances :P).

    linkage, how it works

^ Yeah, im very/pretty sure it's mostly used for more progressive damping. So its soft over the rough stuff, but ramps up under hard hits to help stop bottom-out. Im not sure about lighter suspension being used, i think the linkage would add weight if anything.
