    Irridium Spark plug

Yes but your not talking about a pitbike! A car with knock detection and ignition advance control will run better on higher octane up to a point. A low compression pit? Not a chance. As for cleaning thats all to do with what additives are present. But this is slightly off topic now I think!

    Irridium Spark plug

Its like fancy full synthetic oil and super petrol, yes they're better but too such a small extent its simply not worth it. You cant feel a difference even if you think you can!

Run In Oil - Mono vs Multigrade

Dont use monograde! Thats a ridiculous idea. Multigrade functions exactly like multigrade at operating temperature while providing far better cold starting protection. There is no reason to use mono. Use multi, and change it regularly and there wont be any problems. That said, even if you did...

    Which oil?

Yes because all chinese engines are prepared to a high level of standardization... You cannot use a single example to argue your point. There is nothing wrong with mineral oil, many many engines have gone round the clock on it. Unless your using sunflower oil its not an issue what engine oil you...

    Which oil?

You can use fancy bike spec synthetic but why? Its not like the extra engine life it gives you will count for anything- that bike will die long before wear from a cheap mineral oil becomes a factor. The only problem i can see is using energy conserving synthetic car oil, that can definately...

    valves at .005??

Its the sound of compression. Take the plug out it'l stop and be easier to turn over.

    valves at .005??

Single cylinder so both adjusted at the same time. Is it loud when the engines hot, if it is you could tighten the gap a little. Just remember a little valve noise is good, lets you know they havnt closed up...

    Cheers gents!

    140 keeps stalling

Also adjust your fuel/ air screw. Dont bother with needle/main that has nothing to do with the idle circuit.

    valves at .005??

I was thinking of hordes of ppl looking for impossibly thin feeler gauges!

    valves at .005??

Well im glad your not my mechanic! ;p Either thats a typo or your maths is wrong, just a decimal point though... 0.1mm is approx 4thou/0.004inch, to be pedantic 0.0251mm is the same as 1thousands of an inch exactly.

    pushrod valve clearance

Probably the easiest engine to work on. Take the rocker cover off, may just be covers on the rocker cover... Turn the engine anticlockwise via the crank with a socket through the cover on the right crankcase. Watch for tdc via the plastic plug above the flywheel. Tdc after the inlet valve has...

Carby back fires like a cough

Answer this, engine in good condition, good compression and well sealing valves. When lean there are coughs through the carb, when slightly richened, which gave a better idle too, the coughs disappear. Reversion was a poor choice of words, its more burning mixture pushing through the carb than...

Carby back fires like a cough

Gota disagree with you Cactus Jack. Your right in that its nt the spark that ignites the incoming fuel mixture, only spark at with valves closed and on exhaust stroke. But under lean conditions at idle combustion is nt homogenous, ie you have burning charge when the inlet valves open. Obviously...

Racing CDI/ IRK /ORK's good or bad?

Cdi is worthless unless you get one with adjustable advance curves but thats expensive. Flywheel is debatable, faster spin up vs increased traction etc

knock in pitpro 125cc engine air cooled

Clutch or gearbox bearing. Look for a c90 manual, thats as close as you'l get although there are 'factory' split diagrams floating around. Id take the right side cover off and have a quick look.

    Stalling Bike

Thats a fairly large misunderstanding of how a carb works... That said stalling at part throttle does suggest that the needle needs to be adjusted, after running in, valves adjusted etc

    Stalling Bike

If your doing a plug chop at WOT why are you moving the needle? Its the main jet that is the most important factor at that point and that is what needs to be changed.

    crackling

Normal. Lean condition from high revs and closed throttle. Only really a problem on highly tuned 2smokes. As long as your nt lean elsewhere its fine.

    Broke a Tooth

+1 get those bits out 1st, then replace parts. The last thing you want is hardened metal going through the gearbox etc.
