Hi guys I havent started my bike for about 2 months now, i decided to have a quick ride but wouldnt start, cleaned everything and replaced the fuel. I checked to see if i got spark but there was nothing. I replaced the spark plug but still nothing. What do you guys think it could be?

yeah your right mate. i know for a fact that the timing chain still needs adjusting because when i kick it the carby sucks air in and also blows out abit of petrol. when i solve that problem ill work on the spark. at the moment im trying to get a repair manual from atomik, so i can just...

Ok i will go over the wiering tomorrow. when i replaced the piston i did disconnect the starter motor wire, ill give that another look to make sure i put it on correct. i put in a brand new spark plug which didnt help at all. Thanks for all the help

Yes NRG i held it on the exhaust pipe and got my mate to kick it.. but not even a small spark came out..

Ok thanks Dabomb ill really hard to adjust this timing chain, but i will aventuly get there. any idea why im not getting any spark?

:: Update :: Hello again guys. i have been working abit more on the engine the past couple days and suprise suprise it still wont start. ok so here is whats going on. took my air filter off and put my hand over the carby ( where the air filter sits ) and i felt it suck in air and also...

i understand what you talking about NRG but the cam shaft old turns a serten ammount and i cant get it in the correct position to where it needs to go. i cant really explain it. ill give it another shot tomorrow and get back to use thanks for all the help guys

how can i tell if the cam is at TDC? do i just look on the sprocket?

i actuly tryed that and i didnt work, the kick starter keeped on getting stuck. i have a line on the head which is at the top...

well the line on the cog is ment to be at a 12 oclock position ( from what i have read ) and i cant get it to move the little bit more to get it where it needs to be, so if i take the spark plug out will it let me go over the valves?

:: Updatde :: Poulsen8r i did what you said, put the fly wheel 12 oclock and the cam sprocket 9 oclock. and wouldnt you know it,,, it still wont start. and now the kick starter gets stuck every second kick. what the hell is going on with this engine!

well if your kick start gears are gone and the electrics are stuffed then that would be your problem. i also got the same engine..
