I've had a look at those threads and they weren't of too much use. The one of most use refer to the Vee tyres, but the elstar website which was linked to the tyres, doesn't appear to stock them any more.
I've been told the maxis tyres are worth looking at, but I've had bad experiences with...
I've got a rim lock on there, I was told by Brian at east fifties to run them at 25psi, and by my mates to run them at 15. so i've ran them at variety of different pressures and they've still been fukin hopeless. ATM the bike has just got the stock cheap and cheerful yuan xaun or whatever it is...
I'm after some honest opinions on tires, and i'm surprised there isn't already a thread on it.
I ride a DPRO160 and at the moment it is running the standard tires, but every time i've gone out i've had a puncture (i run my pressures around 20psi). Not to mention their standard rear tire on...
I've checked the choke, I did that first because my old bike had a jammed choke and i could work it out.
I've done the clearances numerous times, because thought i was getting them wrong or something, but i'm pretty confident i'm doing it right.
I've haven't played around with the carbie yet...
I'll check that out.
I just put the new spark plug in and after only running for a minute or so it became RED HOT. The oil cooler was only slightly warm and the casing had hardly had a chance to warm up as well.
I've just got no idea what is going on.
On the bright side, once i eventually got...
Yeah, its got a stock carb.
It may be flooding, it is a bit of a **** to start alot of the time, and i usually use full choke. I'll give half a go.
The other thing is the bike has started recently (as the start up issue discussed above has been getting worse) back firing and crackling as it...
I've got a DHZ DPRO 160 with the z160HO engine, except the thing is working properly all the time.
Some time when i start it the engine fires perfectly, revs smoothly etc. Other times it will splutter upon start up and if i'm lucky i can squeeze the throttle and it will all just into line and...
@ patron
What distance do you have your valve set at?
I've got mine at .03mm on both valves but it doesnt sound quite right?
(when I say it's not sounding right it not a constantly ticking, caused by the valves being too loose. Instead it sounds as though the piston is properly lubricated, but...
@ Macaroni
I've got the same carbie on my DPRO 160, it does the same thing. I think it's because the idle is to low. I've had a bit of a look but i have seen how to adjust the idle on it, as it is quite different to the carbie on my old bike.
