Who wants to be the hero?

Hoooleeeeeeeeeeeeeee crap! What a bÄstard! Glad that guy at the end threw his dirtbike down and hammered the fellows window, probably ended up with malicious damage charges but hell, that guy ran down riders! WTF??? Would love to find the resolution of that case. - boingk

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Nah haven't had the pipe off the head yet, may in future. The 115 mainjet rides alright but could use upping to a 117.5 or 120 I think. I will do that when I get a chance. For the moment the bike is out with sheared rear sprocket bolts. I would highly suggest anyone with these bikes replace...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Fit a 115 Mikuni small round type mainjet, goes like hell now. Note is crisper and fuller but still not stupidly loud. The bike is running well. I may try a 120 mainjet but will try raising the needle a notch first. Cheers - boingk

A quick test of my new Bullet HD 2 camera

Yeah, for $85 posted its awesome. The thought had indeed crossed my mind that it looked like something a bit suss... but hey, its compact and waterproof! :D - boingk

A quick test of my new Bullet HD 2 camera

Heres my short video of the Bullet HD 2: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/KNi4MnbA_ko" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Pasted from video description: A quick test of my new Bullet HD 2 camera, onboard my Honda VTR1000F. Overall picture quality...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Yeah they may do, but for now I'll be working the standard. I've got 107.5, 110, 112.5 and 115 mainjets on the way so should be covered. Also I did the math on the restriction - it gave a breathing area of approximately 200mm^2, whereas a 30mm interal diameter pipe will give over 700mm^2...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Nah mate was thinking about it and decided that I may as well do the exhaust and jet appropriately for that first. The thing was breathing through a tube the size of my finger with about 30 holes in it about 3mm diameter each. That's two tenths of bugger all! - boingk

Standard Jinke mainjet is a 102. Thinking upsizing somewhere in the 106 to 110 range should do it. - boingk

    Show us your toys

Cheers gents, and yes she sounds awesome. Not obnoxiously loud but still a good note, great work by the Yoshimura R&D team there. Mind you, the GS sounds alright, too, with its period-correct Hanco 4-1 ;D - boingk

Good stuff gents, love the RS125 - was my first roadbike. Built it from a wreck and had many good times on it. The current fleet is a bit different; a vintage and a newy. I've got a 2001 Honda VTR1000F and a 1980 Suzuki GS850: Great bikes both of them in very different ways. Cheers -...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

At the moment I'm rejetting the SDB after modifying the exhaust - it was breathing through a horribly restrictive arrangement. A 1/4 turn throttle will be going on, to, so should make a world of difference. The restriction is a plate welded into the exhaust baffling with a small hole, then...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

I wouldn't bother fitting an RM 125 silencer to these, the stock system is quite good as is once derestricted. A CRF or YZF 250 silencer would be more appropriate. Blender, I appreciate the feedback mate but please don't quote large posts with pictures in them, it clutters the thread something...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Suzuki TS 185's used a VM26 I believe. A good standard carby for around 15 to 20 usable horsepower. Meanwhile, here are a few happy snaps from Wednesday: Vainly trying to stay ahead of my mate on a very hot CRF250R: I had him in the corners but he blew past me on the straights pretty...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Hey there, I wouldn't do head work on these if you paid me. The intake is fine and the exhaust is close but needs the restrictor / spark arrestor removed to breathe properly. It sounds good at the moment but is still fairly quiet. The spark arrestor is obvious if you look into the end of the...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Went out today with mates and had a blast. The engine has smoothed out a bit and has good power now its fully broken in, running well on 20W-50 and 95 octane. Next items of business are modifying the muffler and intake to try and tweak a bit more power out. Frame is holding up well, shocks are...

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

Yeah exactly... plus had a squiz at the ts after work and its not in as good nick as the guy said. Didn't let him know that but hell, suddenly I'm not particularly interested. Heading out Sunday with mates, should be a hoot. I'll update as needed. - boingk

Boingk's SDB Enduro Pro 250cc (Aircooled)

I probably should but I've always liked the TS's and he could probably use the help. Plus I figure someone getting one of these set up in good nick isn't the worst thing either. PM sent. - boingk
