Hey guys what do you recommend for a chain and sprocket kit for a ds80. Ive been looking at the cheap kits on ebay or is it better to go with a known brand and pay a bit more eg did renthal etc. Cheers

okay so its been a while but i finally got the ds 80 running turned out to be the primary coil which i was able to buy of ebay.... One thing ive have a problem with is the air boot that connects from the airbox to the carby it is severely warped and no longer fits correctly. I was thinking of...

yeah i rang them and they didnt know the specs of the coil but they did say it would work on a ds80 maybe its worth a try ive found one on ebay for $27 delivered.... ive been looking at the stator coils today and the lighting coil seems to meet those specs but i cant get anything out of the...

okay so i rang a few places one bike shop suggested this coil if you follow the link its a pdf catlogue on page 24 there is a coil part number CY3 what do you think on that one it looks very similiar and is a cdi coil. http://mcsonline.com.au/Catologue/ch_11.pdf

ok yeah i was thinking aftermarket do you recommend a certain type of aftermarket coil and is it something i can get of ebay ?? What about the rest of the electrical system ive tried to find some other posts on stator testing but cant find anything...

Hi Sorry to dig up an old thread... Ive just received a non running ds80 that doesnt have spark ive tested the igniton coil with a multimeter and it appears to be faulty i wanted to test the rest of the electrical system would the above checks be applicable to a ds80 aswell.... Cheers

so has anyone played with the jetting im fitting an fmf pipe and silencer and what to get the jetting dialed in correctly

i got the exhaust from power sport junkies and yes it is for a jr 80

so i serviced the front forks and replaced the fork seals with no further leaks. also added some spacers to the forks aswell but instead of cutting some pvc tubing i had some round bar laying around with the same diamater as the original spacer so i just cut them to length adding an extra 1...

all i did was drain the oil from them and then put new oil in i think i may strip it right down and give it a good clean...

im not sure about the seals i refilled them with fresh oil and then went for a ride and it leaked within 10 mins of riding with alot of oil coming out ...

yep thats original condition ive just given it a good clean...

so now i have to replace the fork seals that have started to leak and replace the tail light as the rubber mount has split around two of the bolt holes hopefully i can get this from suzuki...
