Hey guys, I might be able to pick up a CRF250R for $1500-$1600. The valves need to be done and also maybe the fork seals. Just asking, will I be able to get away with just shimming the valves..? I will not be riding the bike hard at all but lots of threads suggest you only get 1-3 rides...

Is it normal for the rear brake to be be able to push down an inch or two before the brakes start to activate? I find it really hard to modulate my braking because it feels like i'm either doing nothing or locking up the back wheel
