Congrats guys!

I actually rang the guy that has that engine listed and yeah it's a quad engine, but he has a water cooled 250 loncin with the standard gearbox, for the same price, and he is only in coffs harbour... So not too far.... But he does a flat $55 shipping anyway, so when I save up the $$$ I reckon...

I'd like to grab one of those Loco, it's the best and probably best long term option, so I'll see what happens first, I'll keep saving, if I find a 2nd hand one I'll grab it, if not I'll keep saving and hopefully grab a newbie....

Yeah bearings are a must the rear wheel bearings are stuffed.... I bailed on the DR500 - as mean as it would have been, and the massive leg muscles I was gonna get for it..... Money's tight here at the moment so the puzey has been put on the back burner for a little bit til we can afford a new...

This susuki DR 500 engine with good compression is for sale in my local area for $300.... Reckon it will fit the puzey?

Funny you ask that, my dad owns a muffler business and is a welder/boilermaker by trade.... It's not just snapped, it's all bent out of shape from my crash.... When we tried to straighten it, that was the result... Eekk I have the tip for it, took it off while trying to straighten it

Yeah I reckon mate, anyone can take out a public liability insurance policy, but it will prob cost upwards of $1000 per year, so if u get on board with a club that already has public liability that is covered by memberships,then that would be the way to go :)
