Jumped the gun today and purchased a yx160. Can't be stuffed with the 190 for the time being. So do I need an exhaust port adapter? To suit the exhaust I had off the Daytona 190? Can you buy those? Also will I need a carby adapter to use the carb off the 190 on the yx160?

i was thinking the pitster pro ho engine. 640 from.dhz at this point in time seems the better option. what do you think by the photos of that bearing? needs the case replacing? new motor and probably rebuild the 190 in the future.

So I was having a closer look at the motor today and I noticed one of the bearings behind the clutch has worn through the case a touch it has some horizontal movement when you push pull the clutch and it has a tiny bit of vertical movement. You can see the gap between the 2 pictures in the area...

Pulled the bike down to a roller so I could give everything a decent clean and scrub as I'm happy with everything on it as it sits might change the bars later on but when it gets built back up ill see what I decide. So with the clutch gear stuffed and a Cpl of others with some damage it was decided to strip the bike and drop the engine.

Rh side cover was pulled off to confirm what I already now know and to inspect any further damage as there were quite a lot of teeth the guy was obviously using it with a screwed clutch basket gear for quite some time

Decided to drain the oil straight away in the bike and I'm glad I did oil filter full of metal shavings and what do you know clutch basket teeth in the oil strainer FML!
