Hi all ..not sure where to post my build so took a stab and thought "china builds" was the most fitting .
Where do I start , a few years ago I bought a 140cc atomic. Built it up as a mini supercross bike and for years rode bush .then I parked it and have not done anything with it for a long time .so time for a new project .

I love the cafe racer scene so iv set out to build a mini one out of a pitbike ..then motard it for fun at kart tracks.

Starting chassis is a atomic 140cc .
Alot of the parts iv custom machined out of aircraft aluminum as im a cnc machinist by trade .
The 140 has been tickled up ,some porting and a inner rotor kit.
Big oko 30mm carb we fully tuned in and rejetted with a o2 sensor and air/fuel gauge.

Carbon fiber 22/32 fat bars
Custom machined pegs and brake pedal
Custom machined headlight mount
Custom stem
Custom alloy oil tank breather/catch can
Custom machined gauge panel that will hold switches and 2 52mm gauges volts and oil temp.

Still in mock up phase ..
Stay tuned .

This is going to be a cool build.

Look forward to seeing the end result.

Keep us updated. :)

Wow ... Like wow..... + Reps mate, I don't know what I like most about this , the idea or the handywork !! TOP TOP EFFORT !!! Love the way its shaping up, keep the pics coming

Thanks guys :) ..
I will update pics as I go .waiting on alot of things to move forward.

Waiting on Exhaust heat wrap to finish the exhaust.

All oil lines will be an6 braided line with alloy an6 fittings.

Trying to get all the fiddley things done before buying a z50r monkey tank .

The seat im thinking of going out side the box and fitting a solo spring'er seat with custom brackets and the oil catch can tucked under the back of the seat might look really trick.

Led switchs arrived

Main battery switch
Head light switch
Push button killswitch

Volts and temp

What jetting do you have in the OKO ?

No idea ,the jets we did it like 5yrs ago lol , next time the carb is off I will have a look for you .from memory its still alil rich down low but WOT up high is tuned perfect ..

Screenshot_2014-10-26-17-33-42.pngMy mate came over this weekend and gave me sh*t about the poxy looking stock oil cooler ..he said iv gone to all this trouble with custom stuff then just stuck that on the front.. lol so iv ordered a 6row 300mm x 85 finned automotive oil cooler..it will mount between the forks and engine standing on end..looking like a mini radiator ..all an6 braided line and sexy fittings ...already made the mounts this morning they are pretty flash now the wait for the cooler to come from over seas

Wrapped the exhaust today and a sneak peek of mocking up the over size oil cooler, mounting billet brackets .. going to look trick as ..

bad ass oil cooler

none of this mini bike oil cooler stuff :p ...

i went full automotive finned an-6 oil cooler... soooo stoked it arrived today :) ..

there it is!! on my custom alloy mounts .. still yet to mount it fully and a line it , but was keen to show off my idea to you guys .. fits like a glove and has that mini radiator look ... i love it ... wait till its got some red/blue alloy an6 fittings and black braided line ..

20141031_160406.jpg20141031_160444.jpg20141031_160451.jpg20141031_160501.jpg20141031_160508.jpg

oil cooler fully mounted nice and solid , now to just run some braided an-6 lines ..

20141101_143715.jpg20141101_143707.jpg20141101_143720.jpg20141101_143736.jpg20141101_143702.jpg20141101_143655.jpg

Looks good, any reason you didnt mount it horizontally instead of vertically? Looks like it may reduce the airflow over your engine quite significantly atm, and that could be counter productive.. also looks a little close to where the front wheel will sit..

300mm is to long to mount that way ..it would look abit funny .. il run a 12" front and the mounts iv made for the cooler make it able to be laid back more ..it will be a close fit but it is a onroad bike now so it should be fine ..the engine temp will be something i will just have to monitor ..it will have a temp gauge also

Having alot of trouble working out what seat to run and custom fit .. most motorbike seats are to big and would look abit over kill ...im actually thinking of a pillion rear passenger seat they are alot smaller

Screenshot_2014-10-28-11-04-49.png

I love the look of this seat ..and how its mounted just over the start of the rear wheel thats the look i want .a triangular frame seat mount

Sooo what do you guys think?
Template is cut out the same dimensions as a gsxr600 passenger rear seat , i will build a triangular frame up like the above pic ..thats how im thinking of mounting it ..

Ignore the fuel tank i just painted the stock tank to mock things up it will get a bobber or z50 metal tank

That seat should look pretty good, I see what you mean about size, it would look funny mounted the other way. Cant wait to see the finshed product

Update ..

Iv made the seat support..i used the original one and cut /shortened/tweaked and modified it to what i wanted then made a cool alloy clamp to strengthen it nice and solid.doubles as something to mount the seat and oil catch can to ..

Next is paint and Waiting for my leather seat to arrive
