How good is it you have a mate that can machine everything up for you
It will be sick he can machine up a bottom clamp that allows you to run the wider tyre in the speed forks
I can't wait to see this bad boy finished

I reckon it looks like it's sitting pretty good.

Done well mate. Haven't seen anyone extend a stock swinger. Came up really good.

Yeah pretty lucky! He does a good job too! Yeah I've never seen a zed running speed forks with the snow hog tyres so it should be pretty cool to see. They looked soooo beefy when we mocked it up. I think ill strip the forks back to bare metal too, chipped paint looks shocking on forks and the gold anodizing underneath looks had it too. Glad you guys like it so far!

Mate we don't like it we fricken LOVE IT!!

Good to see someone going outside of the box with this and making something truly unique and different.

Keep us updated after the big move mate. Good luck with it all.

Cheers mate! Means a lot. Hopefully I'll have some progress pics of the triple clamp soon and when I do I'll throw them up.

This build just keeps getting better, keep up the good work. You're right about swingarms, most are too long although tb do a +3 (7.5cm) which is probably as close as you will find.
Just be careful with those shocks, a few of the guys on MBOZ have had the bottom of the rfy shocks break when not fully screwed in. I have the longer version on a bike I am building. The bottom section is a little longer on the 330mm versions (about 2.5 cm) and would allow you to have them at the height you have now with with it fully screwed in.

If you wanna run them at that height but fully screwed in, let me know as my new swingarm has a closer mount point and my shocks are a little too long for my liking now and I'd be more than happy to swap the bottom mounts for yours (saves me getting some fabbed up).

Cheers mate, glad you like it. Ohh awesome! I was talking to my mate and he said that we could make up some longer ones if needed but yeah your ones would be perfect! When I get the forks on and see how its going to sit, I'll work out what height adjustments I need to do in the rear, and I'll definitely keep you in mind. May not be for a few weeks though. Thanks!

Yeah no probs, swing me a pm if you decide you wanna swap.

Did a little bit of work on the zed yesterday and today. File finished the welds on the swingarm extension, added a tab to the swingarm to bolt a crf50 chain slider on and fabbed up a weld on bracket to bolt a Billetware crf50 chain guard on. Absolutely loving how its sitting! Enjoy.

Got a couple of progress pics of my forks from my mate who is doing work on them for me. He has stripped the paint and anodising off them and brought them back to a raw finish. He has replaced the oil sleals and oil. Also he has made up some custom adapters to allow the use of some dust seals off some rockshox mtb forks. Can't wait to get these bad ass forks onto my bike!

Looks good , he's got some skills hey

Did you rub the speed forks back ?

Yeah he goes alright old Timmy! Yeah the forks were originally anodized gold but were in heaps bad condition so tim stripped the coating off them with a caustic based oven cleaner.

Loving the look of the triple clamp made up! So tuff & Cool! :handshake:

you going to make up top one aswell?

Yeah planetminis.com hasn't been working on my phone either (android) for like a month or two
