hey mate, mad build you got there.

Do you know if the 190 is learners approved? dont think i can wait for 6 months for my opens aha

I doubt it would be with the horsepower to weight ratio.

l cant speak for other states. Here in Victoria you can ride a LAMS approved motorcycle up to 650cc.
Bikes include any jap and European 4 stroke thumper ,

power to weight on these things up to 60 hp on an 120 kg unit. The Braaap 190 with slot in there .

The only exceptions are 2 stroke road bikes , Suzuki rgv Yamaha tz Kawasaki kr

My IT200 doesn't qualify for LAMS 26hp & 90kg
So i didn't think the Braaap 190 22hp and 70kg would ?

isnt it anything under 250cc is allowed
with the exception of a few 250cc high performance road bikes

I'm planning on riding a postie with a 190 daytona in it on my L's

The LAMS scheme is Australia wide, same in every state.

But one of the rules for LAMS bikes is-
To be a LAM the motorcycles must be in the standard form as produced by the manufacturer. Any
motorcycle modified in a way that increases the power-to-weight ratio of the motorcycle is not LAM
approved regardless of whether it appears on this list.

This is the list of LAMS approved bikes for learners

Eligible motorcycles in the category 0 – 250 mL
All models, 0 mL to 250 mL, including mopeds, are eligible for use on an RE licence and are included
within the LAM scheme. Individual makes and models are not listed.
The following 0 mL – 250 mL motorcycles, are excluded from the LAM scheme.
Suzuki RGV250
Kawasaki KR250 (KR-1 and KR1s models)
Honda NSR250
Yamaha TZR250
Aprilia RS250

Conditionally registered motorcycles which have not been approved under Australian Design Rules certification
are also excluded.

Eligible motorcycles in the category 251 mL – 660 mL

Thread brought back when l had my leaners permit. 1988 l rode a Honda xr 600 85 model rf blue seat /orange frame. identical to the 250 , bar the massive 591cc barrel . So l decided to buy some 250 tank stickers for it and wack a set of L plates. Always got pulled over on the thing and never got done for riding a bike over capacity. Thou one day as l just thought l pulled it off again the officer asked me to kick my bike over . He then replied mmm you really should check that oil pump or bottom end it sounds a bit noisy . Haaaaaa

some cr500 came with adr compliance plates, usually 2000 to 02, but if you manage to find one, OMG 10k+
lol could you imagine taking a cr500 to work? heck i dont think i would rock up to work, id be hitting the track and trails lol!
:p
lmafo, the australian government is so.. um silly... lets a cr500 on the lams, but wont allow a new unrestricted wr450f... lol
but then again 2stroke vs 4stroke... screw fowling a plug in bumper to bumper traffic :p

Thanks guys,

Spoke with a guy at braaap and ended up putting a deposit on a 125, but still tossing up on the 190. He said the 190 isn't ADR approved but from what i can tell, there's no 190 labeling on the thing and wondering if the cops would be able to tell much of a difference.

Clearly the sound would give it away but that could just be a mean 125 aha

How do you go with cop attention man? Been pulled up?

If they check the engine number it says 190FDX directly above it.
I'm not near mine, i cant remember if it says 187cc or not on the cylinder

As long as its a crf50 based motor its legal

heck, it wouldnt be hard to buy some stamps and a flapper disc to get that cc signature, and replace it with 124cc lol
but its really up to you if you want to have that type of piece of mind, but then again, you dont get to show off your big bore!! :p

Daytona Anima's dont have displacement on the barrel because the same barrel is used on the 190cc and 150cc its just the stroke is different

And the engine model number stamping on the case below the sprocket 190FDX, 150FDX

Im not bothering with the anima till there injection package is out

That wont be too long, they there's a few testing them now.

Unless its my spare Anima, then it says 150F but shes a 190 now ;)
cheater motor for dayz
