Cant Start My Bike!

Hey guys
im new to all this bike scene.
someone gave me a 110 thumper pit bike (i think thats what they call it)

anyway i cant start the mini beast!

i know the fuel side is ok

the problem is electrical


can any one advise on common faults to look for?

basically it wont start no spark at the plug!


can anyone help ?


i just want a big dummies guide to what to do

just buy a $40 full electrical kit of ebay mate and then youl know itl go

That was a silly coment, ok are you sure it's not getting spark, earth it out on the head to see, start with the high tension lead and checking that it's connected properly, check wiring, get multi meter set it to omes and check through the wiring seing if you have any resistance or a closed circuit, take the left hand side casing off (near sprocket) and you will have the magnito and stator, there is a piece on the side of the magnito it kind of tells the spark when to go, you will see this easily make sure it's still connected and not dammaged, not sure how to test the stator tho. My guess its a cdi unit or something very simple they always pack up on china bikes
