i am doing up a 1973 Kawasaki g5 as some of you might know and the compliance plate is a bit ratty its just a sticker not an actual plate and i want to know if i can legally get it made onto a plate of metal/aluminum i am getting the frame resprayed and want it for resale or can i buy a new sticker somewhere any help would be appreciated im doing this bike up for me but might sell it down the road so the highest resale value would be great

If you have all the numbers from the compliance plate and there all definitely 100% correct get a metal plate made up. Just keep the ratty one on there and also attach the metal one I'd say. If you loose those details you'll be kickin' yourself! But vicroads/rta(what ever the other states call them lol) can check all the details anyway to the type of bike. So they will know your not screwing them!

i would go have a chat to vic rods about the problem
cause i know your not ment to do that kind of thing to cars

if the frame has its number stamped in to it some where
and the engine has its number then thye should not have
a problem

what numbers are on the tag is it just the ADR stuff

i think i might call vicroads and ask them and Wat do you mean about ADR stuff

ADR
australian design rules plate

has all the bit and bobs about the car and what it has to comply with
emissions, air bags, lights and all that crap

dont know if a bike has that type of plate or not

but like i said best talk to vic roads about it
there should be no problems doing it but they will want you to do
it there way or there going to jump up and down about it
