Hello. I just joined, so if I do something wrong please let me know.

A few months ago I purchased this bike: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EEJKR2O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A few weeks ago the front gear sprocket threw off the chain, and "blew-up" a lot of things. Now, the dirt bike currently does no run because a portion of the magneto or something along those lines got broken off when the chain came off. Since this sensor or whatever it might be is attached to the engine, I don't think it's fixable.

I am trying to find a direct fit engine for the bike on Amazon, and i'm not entire sure which engine would fit it. Also, I really want fully manual, rather then the current semi-auto. But I don't know if that is changeable.

Here are images of the engine with the gear cover off. Maybe if someone could tell me if this is easily fixable or what engine I need to replace it with. I really prefer if it's from amazon.

Thanks!!! PS: I hope it's not racist assuming this is Chinese. It's just some random off brand that I assumed is.

welcome! where abouts are you from?

looks like youve just broken the pickup off the stator plate, this can be replaced easily with the right tools.

youll need a flywheel puller and a couple of basic tools.

heres the part you need to replace to get it going again.

youll probably also want to replace the side cover

Wow this is amazing. I'm from the us.

Will these items work instead? I trust amazon more then ebay, even though it's really the same seller base.

Thanks so much for your response. Also, you're positive it's only the Stator Plate that's broken?

Yeah you will need a new stator as the pickup has snapped off, and the flywheel tool.
Compare your's to how it should look.

The tool you linked is fine, i have a US made Motion Pro Flywheel Puller which have never failed.
The cheap china puller's can damage your engine

The damage caused to your engine was from an over stretched/loose chain.
The chains they are supplied with are very cheap, they stretch pretty quick and end up jumping a tooth or 2 on the front sprocket and wind themself's up in the stator cover cracking it and usually taking out the pick up as it smashes it off the stator plate.
Get yourself a new DID H/D chain, it'll cost you about $20-$30, and also grab some spray on chain oil too to keep it lubed.
The chain will be too long so you'll need to shorten it, count how many pin's (including the joiner link pin's) there are going through the link's, that's the length chain you need.
you can either buy a chain breaker tool, or use an angle grinder and grind the end of the pin off and punch it through

2X new high tensile M6 x 16mm countersunk screw's to replace the cheap china one's, (hold stator to engine)
Could get them from Walmart too

Thabks so much to the above reply. ( too large to quote )

I certainly want to e gentle with my engine. Which of these do you recommend for the puller? I am not sure how they work, so I don't know which is best. Amazon.com: 125cc engine stator puller

As for how to do all of this work, is there a simple video that you recommend? (I can google it, I'm just asking to see if you recommend one)

THANK YOU! You both saved me well over $200 for the new engine.

This is the one i have,
Amazon.com: Motion Pro 08-0026 Flywheel Puller M27X1.0 L.H External Thread: Automotive

You just undo the nut in the middle that hold's the flywheel onto the end of the crank
Then wind the big thread anticlockwise into the flywheel thread, once it's in as far as you can get it by hand hold the big nut with a wrench and turn the small centre bolt in
It will start to get tight then it will pop the flywheel off the crank

You dont alway's need the flywheel holding tool, fit your 14mm socket and ratchet onto the nut and hold it firm to the left
Then use a hammer and give it a firm tap down on the left side this should loosen the nut off the crank, and undo it and take it off

Basically you need a new side cover and a stator plate.

If you are very cheap person I have seen those snapped of pick up coils (without removing magneto) fixed (on cheap "good condition, like new" pitbikes for sale) by using car body sealant.

I have one more question for both of you.

I bought a horn: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00029XGAU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and a control switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008G4YMHY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is there any way to wire these things and power them? As well as some sort of compliant turn signals. Everything on this bike has different connectors. I realize there is no bat/alternator but maybe wire it from the stator (which generates electricity, right?)

Thanks again! The stator and other parts are ordered.
