crf50 88cc kit :)

I just bought a crf50 and wanted to buy a 88cc kit to get a bit more power, but are they worth getting?
Is there much difference ??
I was thinking of this one Classic Honda 50's Australia - TB Race Head, 88cc Bore, 20mm Carb Kit - 82-13 Models [TBW0936]

Anyone who has would appreciate the help thanks

Hey bud and welcome to MR.

I run the TB 88 bore kit and head. Really depends what you want to do with it?

If you want to race then your better off just getting the bore kit and not the head as you need to run a stock head for limited class and the old 88 mod class doesn't really exist anymore. No point going against open 10inch bikes that are much bigger CC's.

If you just want the power for a bit of fun in the bush or hacking around a track they are really good bang for your buck. Would get a bit more from a full taky setup but I didn't think it was worth the extra coin.

And yes they give a lot more power. When you see the size of the stock piston and valves compared to the TB one's it's night and day.

Ey thanks for that and yer its just for mucking around on bush riding not for racing will Probably go get with in the week also can u keep the stock exhaust on it ??

Yeah you can keep the stock exhaust.

It does restrict it a fair bit though but is still pretty quiet.

When I got a bigger pipe later it really opened it up.
