Hi guys, just signed up to mini riders and am about to purchase my very first mini bike. Just chasing thoughts on the DHZ Dpro 160? Any pros and cons are welcome. Also is there anything i should modify straight away?

Cheers

Hello and welcome!

From my time here I've seen nothing but great words about the bike, however, the only downside (from what I've read) are the front shocks. If you compare the Dpro and Outlaw, the outlaw runs GPX Black Label front suspension and DNM rear shock (less bottoming out depending on your size and what you're riding on).
As far as I'm aware the Outlaw is a little more adjustable.

Theres a review on one here: http://www.miniriders.com/minibike-...pro-160-2009-a.html?highlight=dpro+160+review
And here: http://www.miniriders.com/minibike-reviews/37365-2012-dhz-dpro-160-a.html?highlight=dpro+160+review

I guess you could consider those as cons, which also made me jump up to the Outlaw.
Forgive me if this is a little incorrect - I'm still learning.

^^^ Spot on bud!

The only thing you left out was the Outlaw is a crf70 style whilst the Dpro 160 is crf50. If you can afford the extra stretch for the Outlaw get it, it is well and truly worth it's money. Apart from the 70-50 difference, from my knowledge. (Which isn't always reliable) :)

The Outlaw comes standard with:

Upgraded handle bars, pro tapers I think?
730mm black labels (F/A Forks) $450
D&M rear shock (F/A) $250
Kenda Carlsbad tyres $100
HD swing arm $100
HD spokes ?
Bigger fuel tank ?
200mm rotors, $40

See if you can buy all that gear for $400 :)
Dhz have good bike but their after sales service it **** house.

Thanks guys!!! :). Is there much difference size wise between the two? (Length, height and weight wise)

They're mostly the same weight (you won't notice it), but the DPro is a bit taller but lacks the ability to adjust the suspension to your liking. If you can save up a little I urge you to go for the Outlaw. :)

DPRO:
DIMENSIONS
Seat Height: 810mm
Ground Clearance / Wheel Base: 315mm / 1160mm
G.W. / N.W.: 75/ 65 kgs

OUTLAW:
DIMENSIONS
Seat Height: 780mm
Ground Clearance / Wheel Base: 265mm / 1190mm
G.W. / N.W.: 78/ 71 kgs

Stuff all mate.

Sorry I don't have a decent comparison photo but,

No worries guys. Thanks heaps. May have to wait till next pay day and get an outlaw. :)

Approximately 5-7 days according to their site, but don't hold me on that. :p

Dhz's shipping is super fast, usually. So that's probably a good eta.

Just make sure your home because they won't leave it! Learnt that from experience. :(
