Having issues with the rear brake on my Outlaw 160 motard locking and seizing. Has anyone had any other brake assemblies fitted to one of these bikes? Perhaps something from a Jap bike?

Wellcome to Miniriders,

Drop in say hello in our Introduce Yourself thread too while you're here.

Have you taken the rear caliper off and checked that the slide's aren't sticky or rusty?
If they are clean them up and use some PBR brake grease on them
Same thing with your brake pedal on the pivot point etc

A couple of member's here have used a KX65 rear caliper and the STR caliper mount, Brendo and Nick

I have also heard on PM that you can use a Nissan rear caliper/mount off a YZ80 1993-2001, or a YZ85 2002-2008 rear caliper too.
^ Both have the 15mm axle hole and bolt's straight up etc, master will probably require a custom mount but that's easy enough
No one here has tried this conversion as far as i know.
