Figured I better start a thread so I can whack some pics up later on.

Here is the bike as it sits right now:

2009 LXR HO 184
V2 Race Head
S35 Taky Cam
TB 64mm Barrel
TB CDI
ProCircuit Pipe
Billet Clutch
PE 28mm Carb
Pro Taper Bars

After tonight it will have a brand spanker Daytona ANIMA 190 motor installed ready for Dylan to race.

The old motor is for sale if anyone is keen too. PM me.

Will get some pics up later of the install from start to finish.

Big thanks to DHZ for sourcing the motor for me.

PS: Damn you Zach for letting me ride yours and feeling the awesome 190 power. haha

Hmmmm might have to pm me a price on your old engine nick ;)

OK got a bit of work done last night. Engine is all mocked up in frame.

Just need to do the following before finishing:

  • Take a little bit off Brake lever to clear motor
  • Open up oil hole in bash plate
  • Get some custom made high flow oil lines
  • Cut and re-weld exhaust to fit

Here is how she started:

Bike all stripped. Gave her a good cleanup as best time to do it when all stripped down:

Next on the list for the weekend is to get it all wired up ready for when the other mods are completed early next week.

Now I have kept the exact same jetting I had my 184 setup running at. This is an experiment as I have heard so many different stories about exactly what works best:

Pilot: 40
Main: 120
Clip: 2nd Position

Will see how well she runs. Have a heap of jets so will play around until it's perfect.

Dylan is stoked and can't wait to ride it. Man it's one beast of a motor. :grinning-smiley-003

when i got my PE28 i couple of days ago, it had a #40 and a 125, middle clip, it came off a braaap 190 factory pilot, and ran mint apparently,
Looks mint, i bet he cant wait!!! torque for daaayyysss

40 -125 works well but main is right on the limit , aliltte scary in my eyes , we run 130

125 main did have a nice note but yeah gave me the hevie geves at redline , more comfy and easier to ride at 130

careful of the crankcase breather , check shes not kinked bud , up and over works aswell

Thanks Casey. Yeah was a bit worried about crank case breather.

Will re-route that one as it is crinkled at the moment.

Ok getting there now. Custom oil lines are made and installed.

All wiring is done but not sure how to wire kill switch?

Kill switch has 2 wires but only one from motor?

Im not 100 percent on this, but the green is a earth yeah? Couldnt you just wire the powered wire, black with white stripe, together, and earth the green to the frame?

That's a really good idea. Never thought of that doh. Lol

Anyone confirm?

Yeah Stu and Chris are right.
As long as there's a good earth from the main loom to the frame, earth it there.

Earth to the chassis worked a treat.

Bike is all together. Been a bit of a mission but we went over the entire thing. Really feels like we have built it from ground up again to live another day.

Really happy with how it all turned out. Now it's time for mine!!

Custom oil lines look good. Custom cut pipe as well came up perfect.
