Hi guys.

I'm new to the pitty scene, after riding on a friends property on the weekend I noticed my YX 140is geared quite low.
First gear is very short and I only use it on take off, at the top end I'm forever chasing another gear.
The track we have got going is sandy and tight 1st-2nd-3rd gear stuff, but first is still way too low so i tend to stay in 2nd and give the clutch a hiding.
I'm 90kg/ 200lb, the bike has a 12" rear 14-41 sprockets. going up the gears it will pick up the front wheel in second.

I'm tossing up between 15 or 16 tooth front.

Thoughts

Thanks

Neil

front sprocket is easiest to change and 1 tooth on the front =3 on the rear, so give the 15 a go and if thats not enough whack the 16 tooth on!
You will have to re-adjust your axle/chain tensioners as the chain will need more length to go round the bigger sprocket!. good luck.

Thanks for that. I think I'll go the 15 and see how it goes.
