Help my sons Suzuki 50cc stuck in second gear

My son has a 2019 Suzuki DR 50 He was riding it the other day and then said he could not shift down to neutral so he turned the bike off and realized it it was stuck in second gear it won’t start there is no kickstart it only has an electric start no clutch I don’t know what it could be any information will help it’s his first bike but I don’t think I can afford to get him another one it was literally his world
