How do I get these damn fork seals in? Yamaha GT80

I ordered these seals for my 1979GT80 but I can't get them in for the life of me. The first pic is original, second shows the fork collar with the seal removed, and notice the ridge that the seal has to go over! Third is a fail. Help! I would like to get this bike back operational by next weekend. I'll have new seals tomorrow but I'd prefer not to destroy those too.

Have you tried putting the race in the oven. It might expand it enough to press it in. Press is the key word here
