How is the timing set on DS80 - 1995

Hi

I am working on a 1995 DS80 for a buddy.

Can anyone explain how the ignition timing is set on this bike?

I see a small arrow on the crankcase, but is this supposed to correspond to a mark on the magneto plate? The magneto plate has slots and looks like it is rotated clockwise almost as far as it can go.

There is a little notch on the stator plate, this sits about 3mm to the left from the tab

Thanks for the reply and pic. I looked closely at my plate and can not see a mark like you've shown.

My plate is in the same approximate location, rotated almost fully clockwise.

My flywheel also has no markings similar to the "0" mark showing on your pic. Do you use this mark for timing with a timing light?
