Loncin mini chopper no spark

I have a loncin mini chopper with a 48cc motor on it. Someone hot wired it because the ignition key took a crap and it did run then quit. It has lost spark. It has three boxes on it, I'm sure two of them are the cdi and voltage regulator but I'm not sure what the other is but it is physically bigger and has something friend in the circuit panel. I tried disconnecting it and still have no spark. How do you test the pickup and stator on this machine? All the wiring seems to be good otherwise
