So I picked up a xr 70 last year and used it as a pit bike at the track and screwing around in the yard. Has knobby tires on it but I want to put some street rubber on it. I've been looking around for a little while trying to figure out how to get this done. From what I've found I need to get a 12 inch wheel for the front since 14" rubber is hard to find. But I can't just get a rear wheel off a crf 50 and slap it on the front of my 70. I will probably just keep the front hub from the 14" wheel but I would have to re-lace the wheels and I can't just use the old spokes right? Wont be the right length?
Does anyone know how to go about getting street tires on a 70? Or what else I might be able to do?
