This is our old girl Jezza. She is a rotterman and about 15yrs old. Has been fantastic with the kids and such a well tempered dog. Unfortunately she developed a limp near 2yrs ago and finding out she has bone cancer had to amputate a front leg as it had turned her shoulder to jelly. They gave her 3 or so months and the op was to basically minimize any pain in that time, she is still going and if anything has not had any affect since then.

She still walks around the block and is surprisingly quick as a tripod!!

Before @ around 65kg

Outstanding, we could all do with a little bit of dog perspective when when it comes to life! Great to see you stuck by her mate those sorts of ops can be quite expensive. Way to show us all how it's done! :)

Yeah that's a cool story. Dogs are such a massive part of people's lives it good to see people looking after them. I'll never not have one. All the best with your dog

Nice man, what fish you got in there?
Heres my 2, the 5ft currently has 2xTexan chocolates, 2x gouramis (dunno what sort), White pea****, red jewel, bloody big sailfin, clown loach, jack dempsey, ghost knife, 2x Blue Acara's and one little bristle nose which never seems to grow. In the 4ft is "Chomp" my oscar, brought him with a tiger when they were about the size of a 50c piece about 2-1/2 years ago, now he is a monster (a slightly aggressive one) he loves to try and attack the wife every time she walks passed the tank and I have him jumping out of the water for his food :)

Nice tanks mate, I hear you can get them to jump through hoops! There certainly aggressive little buggers.

To be honest there were so many over the years, and some of them bread with other species.I lost count but I'd say my prized fish would of been Mr n Misses Norm the frontosa's in guessing your hands slightly larger than mine Mr Norm was as big as your hand had 4 plecos biggest being around ten inches,

it was kind of sad to see it go but after I brought my house I had to start paying for my own water and a 250 litre water change and tank clean once a fortnight is quite costly as I found out! :)

I only do a water change around every month/month and a 1/2.... but iv'e got Ehiem 2228 canisters running on each tank (which also means they only need a clean once every 6 months or so), so they seem to do an alright job i.e. near 0 ammonia, nitrates and nitrites, it's only the ph which needs to be brought up maybe once a month. and both tanks with 1/3 water change only equals around 260ltrs which doesn't seem to affect my bill too much.

I had a fluval fx5 and a big fluval power head inside, Ciclids and plants don't mix very well and neither does sand unfortunately if I didn't stay on top of it it would be a nightmare, there's lots of good and bad bacteria in the sand and if I stirred it up whilst cleaning it would spike water lvls, you obviously know the story and was smart enough to use gravel. :)

my bro has a red devil... he got it when it was only tiny... then he noticed as it got bigger.. the other fish started disappearing and then there was a random ditch in the gravel that got bigger and bigger.. then all the plants were killed off and the tank was a mess.. the fish is now so territorial that you cant put anything in the tank without it attacking...

NOTE: this is just my 2 cents worth lol..

LOL That's why there is no one else in the Oscar tank....never heard of a red devil, might have to have a look.

the ****er has teeth.. big ones... when we drink we have contests who can leave their hand in the tan longest whiles its being attacked.. man that fish can do some damage... lol.. it moves all the gravel and has created a huge ditch.. its strong enough to pic up this sunken boat and skull thing that my bro thought looked cool... its as big as a dinner plate now... lol

I've never had one but apparently there the most fearsome Ciclids around! :) even surpassing most Oscars and Australian natives!

this is a ver small one... they grow to be huge....skip to 45 seconds... then skip to 1:35 gets him again and draws some blood
