motovert pro not starting

i have a motovert pro with a lifan 150 in it and i it is not starting. When i kick it i am doing tdc and i am kicking it in the nice hard spot but when i do it starts for about 2 seconds and then dies. Sometimes i get it going and i use the throttle and i have to keep pumping the throttle to keep it alive and when i let go it automatically dies. I am using the choke but it still doesn't work.

turn up the idle and/or play with the air screw.

Yip, get it idling well when warm and it'l start easier cold, usually. Adjust your mixture screws for best idle warm. http://www.miniriders.com.au/forum/tech-talk/20778-carburettor-tuning-guide.html

maybe try a new spark pug aswell
