pit bike slipping out of gear

ok well when im ridin the bike and im up in third gear coming up the driveway when the revs get up a little bit sometimes it slips into neutral and then i have to go back up through the gears and also its really hard to get it into first gear for some reason .....maybe gearbox? any help would be appreciated

i was thinking hes carby...

Change the oil and see if theres any metal shavings in it, is it semi auto?
