Hey guys, new to the form trying to get into hobby.

Recently purchased a fully disassembled and rust hunk of junk 125cc Chinese pitbike and over the last few months put it together no issues, with pretty decent success.

having had that turn out i fingered i would get another project but an easier one, I bought this Imgur: The magic of the Internet It was advertised as a 125cc but has 109 stamped on it so I'm assuming its a 110cc

Annnnyway long story short I've finally got the sucker running (kinda) and I've realized the gears seem to rotate like a circle and I've never seen or heard of anything like it. for example instead of going N 1 2 3 4 and topping at 4 it just goes back to N and so on.

Its 4 down, and also if i go up from neutral i wind up in 4th. anyone have any idea whats going on?

tl:dr My gears are wack, help a useless soul out.

cheers guys

sounds to me like either the shift drum is in the wrong position or one of the shift forks has snapped, maybe other things but that seems most likely to me

Many chinese motors had gearboxes like this, rotary gearbox.
