Welcome to Miniriders,

make sure you drop in and say g'day in our Introduce Yourself thread too.

with it not sitting on a constant rev i'm thinking Fuel.
have you cleaned out the carby ? and tuned it to suit ?
checked for air leaks etc

have you fitted an NGK spark plug ?
if the spark plug cap was rusty, have you checked that all the bike's earths are good? nice clean bare metal
and are you running an oiled foam filter ?

what carby is on it a Molkt?

cheers, craig

cleaned everything, new ngk, new boot, new ignition lead, carb has been cleaned numerous times, inlet manifold and spacer cleaned and sealed with Loctite anabolic. I have a piece of air filter zip tied over the plastic spigot of the old air filter which is a bit dodgey I know but it is cleaned and oiled regularly. will fit a unifilter soon.

oh and 28 moklt carb, which I want to replace but cant decide which

i hope you mean Anaerobic Silicon, not Anabolic, lol

so you have adjusted the carby to suit your engine, and it runs ok then?

have a look in the Tech section here, in the Electrical sub forum
there is a thread there How to test your stator etc, that might help you.
