Hi all,
I have a 160cc LE pit bite pro,
I am upgrading the Magneto so I can run a front headlight,
But am unsure what wires to connect where, it's different wiring then my friends 125cc pit bike,

I'm unsure about the wires comming from the magneto, they are all joined into a big white clip, the colours are, at the top, white/blue and black/red, then at the bottom of the clip is yellow, green and yellow,

Then there is a bullet clip type wire, that is light green/red

Does anybody know where they connect too???

The wires i have avalible to connect to off the CDI, are black/red, blue/white, plain black, and a plain yellow

What im wondering, is what wire goes with which?

It would be alot of help if anybody can help out :)

Thanks a bunch!

I have attached some photos of the wires.

Pic 1, new magneto wires
Pic 2, exisitng wires - from cdi
pic 3, existing wires - from cdi

Not sure what wires connect where?.

Hope this is some help :)

I have no clue what wire is what, i'm no good with electircs and no body locally will touch it because it's not a yamaha (they only specialise in them)

At this stage are you trying to get the bike running or trying to get the headlight going or trying to do both at once?
Would be easiest to forget the headlight until you have the bike running

I'm trying to get the bike running at the moment with this new magneto, when i can work the magneto, illl do the headlight at some other stage after i get these wires worked out.

its pretty straight forward and no different to wat ya had before except maybe now you got charge wires...

youll have to cut the plugs off and get yourself new ones from supercheap or an auto parts store.. or solder them and tape them

black/red to black/red (stator coil)
green to green (earth)
blue/white to blue/white (pick up sensor)

yellow and white wires are charge wires.. you may need a rectifier/regulator to hook your lights up.. some light can be connected straight up but you will go through bulbs

just a quick question tho..
are you sure your original stator isnt equipped with a charge coil...

will have 2 coils on the stator obviously not just 1

UPDATE!
Well,
The bike is now fixed and running! Yay!

But after a few phones calls to the company we got the new magneto from and them taking their time to get back with info,

we decided to give "DHZ" a call, they were super helpful, we sent them pics of the wires we had that weren't working, and ....
we got the responce, "you dont have the correct wires, ill send you out a new wiring harness and cdi" ....

Meanwhile, the company we got the magneto off, rings and says "oh we've sent you out the wrong magneto, ill resend you the right one"

Yesterday, both parcels came in the mail,

Plugged the wireing harness and cdi straight in ... bam! first kick it started (THANK GOD! thanks DHZ!)

The original company we got the magneto from, ended up sending out a used, different magneto. - didnt even bother using it.

All I can say is, I'll defently be going through DHZ again for any pit bike problems I have - they have a super great sales men!!

Thank you to everyone that tried to help with this, it was much appriciated! :)

Yeah DHZ are sweet always willing to help out mate.

I always ring there first for anything !
