my IT has just had a birthday,
new source coil, ign coil & lead, plug, expansion chamber cleaned,
bored cylinder, new wossner piston/rings, gudgeon, new chain and sprockets too.
im almost half way there running it in now, another 200kms left to go.
it spat the genuine base gasket, riding it last time, with the extra compression.
lucky i had made one myself, incase the new gaskets didnt arrive in time.

Here's my newly acquired 2005 YZ250F from a friend of a friend. She needed new linkage & swingarm bearings, new rubber, and a once over, but other than that she's in good shape. :)
I want to tidy her up with new plastics and sticker kit, then bars, levers, pedals etc etc, and an engine freshen up when she needs it. I'm lovin' it already :)
- Can't wait to get sticker kit organised... she's looking very bland and unloved.

Gave my now very much loved YZ250F a freshen up. New plastics back to stock colours, and new Muscle Milk sticker kit. Looking sweet. Finished stickering last friday night at midnight, went out to QMP Saturday, and then it all turned pear shaped.

Was having a blast, till I decided to start teaching myself to wheelie thru the rollers/whoops/humps on MX1 track, going good, till I made a little mistake, the front wheel went skywards, I went off the back, with a handfull of throttle, and she looped out backwards 2.5 times landing upside down.... I went splat, toe punted the ground, and lay spread over the top of one of the humps, like a banana peel. Got up and dusted myself off, did a limb check... and went to pick up the bike. Boom. Knee gave out. Oh.
Long story short... scratched up stickers and plastics, snapped clutch perch, bent bars, and the YZF now sports a truck exhaust, pointed to the sky. ;)

I ended up with 2 black toes, a twisted knee, bruised ribs and groin from god knows what, and a empty wallet. ;) Have new Protapers now though! :) Pic of before I crashed it....
