Replacement stator different number of coils

Hi
I have 6 pole stator. It's high tension coil for charging cdi is not working.
I have replacement stator that has different number of coils but has same diameter thickness and mounting bolts. And physically fittable to bike.

Can I use that?

All you can do is try mate. But your magneto may not suit the poles on the 8 pole, and one being kick start and the other electric start all you can do is try it.

If it ain't broke, break it.
