ive seen in threads people talking about rim lock to stop the tyre slipping, what is it, like a glue or something??

no its a bolt that is connected to the tube, it goes through a whole in the rim ans is bolted in, it stoppes the tube from "slipping" inside of the tyre

i dunno about that:rolleyes:

a rim lock goes through a hole in the rim, and holds the tire bead to the rim, and stops the tire from spinning on the rim, which is how valves get ripped out,

rim locks dont hold the tube at all IMO,

no for the smaller rims its a bolt connected to a piece of alloy with rubber on it an the bolt goes threw the rim so when you tighten it it holds the tyre to the rim

so when you accelerate hard the tyre dosnt spin on the rim an pop your tube

you bet me to it pitmaster:)
