hi all, I just need a few suggestion on how to make a perimeter frame zorst fit a z160. would i need to cut and weld it to fit, a NCC pipe adaptor, break out the LPG bottle or oxy/acet to heat and bend?

any help would be sik as im planning on going for a ride with a few mates on the weekend. cheers

yeah you only need to cut and weld the front section of the pipe..
cut it a couple of inches away from the flange, bolt the flange to the head
then trim the exhaust to match the new angle and weld her up.

thanks sean for a quick reply. i went and had another look at it and i might be able to get away with drilling different holes on that flange thing. if i can get 2 zorst gaskets in there it might work. if i try that and it doesnt work i can always cut an weld

no the problem is that the flange angle is completely different, it may work for a moment but it will start leaking pretty much straight away..

you will have to drill the flange plate anyways because the crf pipes are 6mm and the yx150 etc are 8mm..

cut and weld mate, it really only takes about 20 minutes first time round
