Yeah I'll be fine. I just can't rush it, so small steps. I'll be sweet. Summer will be good:)

Yeah man can't wait for the thursday sessions again. Will pimp the track up good. No more dodgy carpet jumps. Haha

So went for my 2nd specialist checkup today n got told that it getn there but the bone hasn't totally taken yet n he still concerned it needs more time, so bottom line another 6 weeks before I can lift more than 5kg n no riding till I see him next, bit of a bummer I also had a ultrasound on my shoulder showing that my "bursa" ( in between the AC joint n rotator cuff ) was damaged to that's why I'm getting pain around the joint so although I can finally start light physio it's still gonna be a while till I'm riding again.

And on top of all that I pretty much got told this is my last chance at keeping my job due to the fact that I can't really do anything, I had lost my license , had a bad break up with the x, screwed my knee n my back , almost died from meningitis and had a blown appendix all before breaking my shoulder ... And all this in the last 2 yrs so they kinda over all my time off which is understandable but is just adding to my stress at the moment, basically If I do race or ride m stuff myself up again or have any more medical issues anytime soon I'm screwed .....

Anyway I'll stop winging all will work out one way or another... Nothin gonna keep me from living my life n doing what I wanna do

**** news Roy :( Keep hanging in there mate, you'l be back on the bike b4 you know it, and once on it you won't be thinkin about any of the crap that just happened. And always remember a day alive is better than a day dead, even if it's a **** day :p

well i know one good thing that's happened mate.. you won FOTM.. about the ex, sometimes things need to fall apart to make way for better things... as timeeh said once your back riding all of it will go away as soon as you let the clutch out..

That sucks man, sorry to hear about the previous stuff but you will bounce back buddy. Life's not suppose to be easy. Hopefully your bone heals up quick mate. Are you still in a sling?

Yeah not good Roy at all. Least your work has been patient with you.

You have to get an op Corey?

I will have to change both your user titles to the one arm bandit's. haha ;)

Nah no op it's looking good. Actually been working this week with one arm which is good so back to it. Out of the along too which is good.

Good to hear u healing up quick Corey n no stress just having a vent hehe I'll be right, still in a sling but he wants me to wean myself of it in the next two weeks n has recommended a brace to wear for supporting the AC n rotator cuff for the next few months when I'm aloud to lift again, I'll get there n be riding with yas soon

Some sad news for shore guys :( ,
Saying just wingeing? Well i reckn dose help to winge abit as gets off your chest! As its not easy being of injured.
Think of it as story to tell! :)

Wish for speedie recovery fellas :)

Went and had another X-ray yesterday. Kinda get over this injury big time. I can't still for long so it's been a tough 6 weeks. Like you, Roy, doctor has said another 4 weeks with no lifting at all. Only shopping(3 kgs and under) but only if necessary. Because the break created small a few bone fragments it's taking longer than usual to heal. He said I may need a plate if there isnt a good amount of healing happening in the next month. I'm hoping no surgery will be required but I won't be on a bike for at least another 2 months. So that's my update. Friggin over it!

Thats crap news Corey, i feel you pan bro mines taking orever to heal too. my pysio is going really well however nd i have now started resistance stuff as well as ROM but i asked her if shethught i would be rigtto race by november n she doesnt think ill bestyring enough yet, its amazing hw quick muscle can deteriate n how frigin long it takes t uild up again. but all good i spose we will both be right for next year, keep ya chin up mate we will be banging bars in no time!! hope everyone else is doin well

Broke my tibia plateau (bone under knee cap) by crashing a jump landing with my knee on the swing arm, was in hospital for 1 week before they could operate (boring) being on drips and cancelled operation daily finally got operation i required a titanium screw in bone which i will have for life, Cut the story short my foot was red an swollen went to local doctor demanded ultrasound etc anyways i now have a blood clot in my calf which could have been prevented if nurses gave me ONE asprin a day... had nurses come my house giving me blood test everyday for 4 days in a row and jabbing my stomach with blood thinning needles, Now i take blood thinners and get a blood test once a week to make sure my bloods thin which will help my clot from not getting bigger and let my body hopefully dissolve it if the clot breaks off it can kill me via heart attack or stroke hopefully that doesn't happen.. Had my operation few weeks ago was told it would take 2-3 months before i could walk with out crutches well im doing some remarkable recovery and not needing crutches really though i still have my leg brace on and i cannot bend my leg much (stiff) i have read some forums regarding this injury it took people 1 even some 2 years to be back 100% normal, i feel 50% and its been probably 4 weeks! but from a broken bone to now a life threatening blood clot, have also quit smoking for the 1st time in my life for 3 weeks now after smoking for 13 years (im 25 years old) reason being blood clot and also smoking can triple the amount of healing time of broken bones i want to hurry up an heal i go outside and start the bike up eager to ride again (pitpro 150cc) see my surgeon in 2 weeks hopefully the leg brace comes off!!

Wow mate, that's no good. Sounds like your a mentally strong person in good spirits, I know a young fella with a brain tumour who had a blood clot behind his eye that wasn't picked up and is causing him bad probs on top of his tumour, chin up dude all will work out fine and you will be riding in know time:)

IF IT AIN'T BROKE, BREAK IT :)

That sounds crap mate, o well at least it's a good reason to give up the ciggies eh? Can't say i fell much better for doing so, but there is that slight thing in the back of my head telling me it's a good thing so I'll take that as being better for me :)

Hope you heal up well mate n get out there on ya bike soon =)
Im going for my last review in two weeks hopefully ready to race the last round of vcm in november but dunno if ill get enough strength back up by then i feel like a girl lol i could even push a rivet gun together the other day lol, nice to see this thread getn used
