Trying to find the right Rear tire, Can't convert numbers though

My rear wheel is a 3.00x12 and it is hardd to find that size! Everywhere I go, they use number like 90/100-12...What does 3.00x12 convert to??? Please help:angry-smiley-010:

Maybe 3 inches? But that's only 76 mm what kind of bike is it mate? I would of thought that all 10's and 12's are a universal fit, surely the bloke at the bike/tyre joint could tell you if it'll fit..

those 2x tyres are pretty close in size,

3.00 x12 is 75mm wide. 3" = 75mm
a 89/100 x12 is 90mm wide, with the sidewall being 100% the same height as the width.

It is an SSR 125sr and it is a 12 rear wheel. I looked at the tire wall and it said 3.00x12 but most tires on websites are in this form>> 90/100-12 what does mine change too or where can I find good intermediate tires for my size wheel?

there are conversion sheets in the web, use google, if you get a 80/100/12 it will fit. This tire converts to a 2.75 to 3.00 x 12. any bike store will guide in the right direction and tell you which tire to buy.

It says it fits 3.00x12 -3.50x12 This will fit mine right?

to boost your confidence a little I'll say that my mechanic has installed a 14" tube in my 12" tyre, so it is to skinny and to large for my tire yet it still works and have never had a puncture, lol. It took me about a year to find the wrong tube in there when I went to treat the rust on the rim. haha dodgy mechanic, I remember it took him 3 weeks to install the two new tires because I was dying to go for a ride whilst I waited.

That 3.00x12” is a supermoto rim. It’s much wider than a dirt bike rim and is designed for a 120/80-12 tire.
