So we have a few American and Canadian members now..
Would be great to see some of the trucks/cars etc from the other side..

Im employed by an American Car Importer and work in part with the conversion process.. Dealing mainly with Chev pickups(2500/3500/duallys and the likes of Hummers, Avalanches, Escalades, Denali's, Yukons etc.

Pictures during the conversion are not available, but a few examples of what we deal with are below.

this isnt our lazy axle addition, but we did do the LHS->RHS swap..

So.. Guys.. Get some pics (and if you can, Specs) up of what YOU see locally. I for one am VERY interested....

there is a dodge ram going around sometimes with 4 wheels on a single rear axle massive thing!!

theres also a f 250 and the guy that owns it has fabbed up 2 exhausts coming out behind the cab like a semi trailer looks awesome!!

just out of curiosity what does it cost to get a car converted from LHS to RHS?

Duallys(doolies[sp]) are pretty common.. generally have a slightly greater towing capacity than the narrower 2500's or single wheeled vehicles....more common for towing 5th wheel trailers, mobile homes, race trailers etc.

Shown with a single rear wheel(rear tub arches NOT on truck when delivered to Aus due to width and container limitations)

upright exhausts.. known as 'Stacks', arnt real big in Aus. IMHO its a good thing to!!

cost.. expensive.. whole firewall is refabbed, entire dash remade to suit the RHS drive, reverse steering boxes designed and made, front end modifications- brake mods, light mods cross members etc then its compliance certification, engineers.. all in all not cheap! certainly not something you can do in the back garage over a weekend or two.

More of the Trophy truck coz its PURE HORN!

If the stacks are sensible and give enough lift I like them... There's nothing worse than a face full of diesel fumes when you're on a road bike :p

The amount of buses with low exhausts pisses me off...
