Hi all

Have a YX160 that is being a pain to start. It was blowing heaps of blue smoke so put a piston/rings in it.

Did valve clearances .003 and .004, new spark plug, cleaned carby
It kicks back and takes many kicks to start. But once it start it idles and runs perfect

Smells very rich once you kick it a few times. If I put the choke on while its running it will die

Any ideas?

Found the timing was out one tooth, still hard to start but no more kickbacks. Do I need to adjust the valves again even though they shouldnt have moved when I adjusted the chain?

Shouldn't need to only being out 1 tooth.
