The engine was in a competition bike. A combination of over revving and a heavy flywheel on a two bearing crank resulted in the crank snapping at the timing chain sprocket. Amazingly enough the only damage was to valves and two cracked valve guides no piston or chamber damage at all.
I’m having an absolute nightmare finding replacement valves for my Takegawa DOHC head after bending them badly. It looks like my only option now is to get a set custom manufactured but I need to supply drawings to get them done. I have no problem with 90% of the dimensions but due to the valves...
AHHHH…..but there lies one of my problems……..I have the unenviable task of rebuilding the engine after being stripped by another person and handed to me in a box.:bigcry:
