Make sure the pad is evanly worn. Some times they dont go over the whole disk, and they end up clamping on them selfs and dont reach the disc.

Depends what kinda of carby you have. If it has a slide inside it that spins to stop the air, you can undo the screws and pull it all out. It will let more air through which gives you a possible performance increase, butyou would need to re jet/tune the carby for best performance.

I would imagine you could get a gumboot, cut a rubber strip off it to the size you wont. Get a piece of aluminium or mild steel of the same width and about 12-13mm high, 2-3mm thick. Unscrew the 2 screws at the back of your seat, and put the metal strip up against them, mark where the holes...

would you use 10wt oil for conventional forks? There 28mm half way between the size of fast ace and stock crf50 forks. Ive never bought a new pair cause fast ace are to high... suppose i could try putting my 10inch on the front in staid.. good idea! Im 70-75kg, mostly ride dirt hits and trails.

And you can buy the air/fuel screws with a knob on the end for easy tuning.. They advertise them per bike model, not per carby though. Billards and most bike shops sell them.

Extending the intake would decrease performance but i doubt it would be noticable, last time i rode i went through the tiniest puddle and the filter got wet, bike conked out after around 4 minutes of riding.. was so pissed off. Still a great option for wet weather rides!

What carb have you got on your bike atm? Can't go past the mikuni VM series, but there expensive. Try getting someone to play with the jetting of your carby.
