Cheers for all the info and help ay, fiddled around with the caliper and pulled it fully apart but forgot to take photos, the little metal bracket i talked about guided the moving brake pad (the one that the piston moves). Brakes are like new now and i finaly know how they work =)

g wiz im got the same model rm50 as you, but yours is in better condition, they do go pretty hard for a little bike and i have good memories of mine. Good luck with the restore looks like you know what your doing by the way its turning out

Hey ive put up before about brake bleeding, got that down pat but air is still getting into the resivor some how? I think its because the seal that comes off the bottom of the resivir and covers about 10mm of the pistom/rod. Could this be letting the air in?

ok, we took nipple cap off and only air was coming out then oil started so i pumped a bit out and put cap back on, they worked for about 5 times then stopped again, ill have a look at the tute ay thanks mate HILLERY#7

Rear brake pads are all good, oil in resivour but when i press brake pedal down the rear pad/piston doeant move, also i have bled them till oil comes out. Can any one give some guidence, info or help will be appreciated. Thanks HILLERY

hey thats cheap as, i paid $1220 cause i live on Bowen and its a far way( mor exspensive postage) also it was $1050 with out but could of got it for $900 as like u but didnt have money then price went up:(
