I did do that, i made a mark on my rotor, that lined up with the mark on the case b4 i took the head off, The "cam" timing is good, my ignition timing is what i am confused about. Plus as long as your carefull, and you dont move the lower cam sprocket at all, when you put your head back on...

oooh, no i meant i didnt do ANY other work other than replacing the intake valve, ( the bike came with the inner rotor kit stock) and i removed the pickup for the inner rotor kit. Now when I go to put everything back together ..thats when i notice the rotor DOES NOT have ANY marks on...

good idea thumpstar, I just ripped down my cylinder head and my intake valve was not sealing, so i replaced it, (checked the seal obviously) and re-assembled, but now the bike still wont run??? im guessing mabye cdi?

k well I just replaced a bent intake valve in my bike, and my bike came with an inner rotor kit already on it, thing is it doesnt have EITHER "T" or "f" marks on it, and I took my pickup off and now dont know where to set it!!!!!!!

alright, quick update on the status of my bike. I ripped the head off of her, took out my rockers, and camshaft. NOW when i put fuel in the intake (valves fully closed obviously) and look at the combustion chamber SLOWLY BUT SURELY fuel leaks around all edges of my intake valve. Does this...

hmm ok, I have these shiny silver wear marks on my cam sprocket and my bike wont even start still. What i dont get is how having the chain being stretched can alter the timing so bad it wont start???, ooh and i have a lifan 140 motor, how do i loosen the cam chain????

hah, no no i tried that, i replaced all the connections and ends of all the wires, checked for spark, then changed the plug and the wire just in case..still nothing, the biggest thing is though...that when i kick it over, it blows gas out of the back of the carb, I think it might have to be that...

I agree with gibbocool 100%, get ALOT of loctite, and literally put it on every damn bolt you can find!, everything will rattle its way off em, main concerns probly being rear sprocket bolts, clutch lever nut, exhaust header nuts (better to double nut them and tighten the nuts against each...

The cam sprocket size does not matter at all, as long as its exactly twice the size as the sprocket on the crank.

.003 and .004 is what the dealership told me 2 set the valves at. And i made sure the piston was at tdc compression and not exhaust. I have been a mechainic for about 3 years now wich isnt very long but it still drives me nuts that i cant figure this thing out lol.

Hi, I recently bought an 07 motovert 140 and am on mabye the fifth tank of gas... Now the bike wont start, and it blows fuel out the "wrong" end of the carburator, and also leaks out the overflow, i rebuilt the carb and set the float height...nothing, so i SWAPPED carbs and it had the same...
