    are oilcoolers really necessary?

Well i'm happy i saw this thread. In my mind, if you're going to spend 500$ on an engine, might as well get a good working oil cooler. These things will cost you 150$ max for a good kit. Thinking about it, do you preffer paying that 150$ and keeping your engine maybe twice as long or saving that...

I want to bore my engine but...

Well i could use my stock pipe on the 155z. I would make me lose a bit of power, but i'd later on for sure change the pipe. Anyways, i'll either get one later or i'll try making a custom one at my trade school (big ass room with more than enough tools to make one) And with the 155z the...

I want to bore my engine but...

I'm not saying you need one, but running an oil cooler will get lots more of power out of your engine. Keeping it cooler will just get you much more power.

I want to bore my engine but...

They're not necessary, but while puttin over 400$ into a new engine, might aswell add just a bit and have an oil cooler that will give me alot more power from the engine since it will keep it much cooler. The cold weather only starts in october to like april lol. After that the engine could run...

    Pitster Pro 155Z Engine Review

I hope they work well. With the stock setup, 26 mm carb and the oil cooler kit, whats the top speed of this engine? I'm getting one in a month about.

Are shivers worth the extra $$$$????

Well it should be 15 mm.

Are shivers worth the extra $$$$????

Well i know Marzocchi is one of the leaders in MX suspension, so the extra cash probably won't be a waste. But like i said, a DH bike Shiver would do the job for MUCH cheaper. It would just need much harder springs, thicker oil and you'd be probably good to go. But if you can buy a MX shiver...

I want to bore my engine but...

Well i already have a 26mm carb at home so... But if i can't get a better deal without a carb, i'll talk it and leave my current carb on my 125 engine.

Are shivers worth the extra $$$$????

Well you can get a used Shiver 01 or 03 for normal bikes... MUCH cheaper and its basicly the same thing. Only this is the bottom end... Pit bikes are 15 mm hubs and bikes are 20 mm front hubs. Only thing you'll really need is spacers to make it fit properly. Its just a suggestion though.

I want to bore my engine but...

They have an amazing deal. Its 520$ US for the engine, outer rotor kit, shifter, quick start, oil cooler, 26 mm carb and some other small things. But 135$ of shipping? No thanks. Unless that i get it shipped to someone to the us and from there on get either go and pick it up of get it shipped...

I want to bore my engine but...

I'm not sure i understand what you mean by that... :S I sent them an email, i'll see their reply. Depending on what they reply, i'll buy from someone else if needed. Somewhere it won't cost 135$.

I want to bore my engine but...

Wow this is really gay... I'm looking at an engine on Pisterpro and shipping is free for items over 100$. So the shipping for the engine is free. But guess what!!! It isn't free for me. Probably because i live in Canada... Why the F would it be free shipping to New York but not to Montreal. Its...

did i really recieve my 155z?

Yeah how do these 155z run? I'm thinking of getting one soon. Is 425$ US a good price for that engine? Thanks, John.

    What !? lol

I want to bore my engine but...

Well i was told that the 160 would fit, but i'd need a new pipe, so screw that. Its either the 140 evo or this one 155 Z crate. This one would fit no problem, so will my exhaust. So i'll see the deal i could get for both and i'll chose from there. Today i went riding and somehow, my front...

I want to bore my engine but...

So then what do you suggest ? Because i'm mainly most of the time flooring my pitbike... I surely don't want to stock flywheel as they are oversized. Maybe an outer rotor? What if i have an IRK with a super coil? Would that help a bit for the loss of torque at low speeds? I'm so unsure...

I want to bore my engine but...

Yeah i'll get a new engine just not sure exactly when. I'm thinking the Evo 140 would be my best bet since it will fit on my frame and with an IRK in it, i'd probably have enought power for my liking. With a 140 like the evo, would the stock exhaust fit on it? I hope so lol or else i'll be...

    Why not go IRK?

I want to bore my engine but...

Yeah i realized once i reread your post lol. Got up early for work today so... But what about that YX160 engine i showed on my post above? Good idea or you guys have better for around the same price ? Or should i get my 125 a big bore and an IRK and an oil cooler? Because it will save me...

I want to bore my engine but...

Okay i find this engine here, a YX 160 and it comes with an IRK, lightened oil slinger, High rev CDI box. It would come to around 410$ US. Should i go for that !? Seems interesting. sgr-usa.com
