I installed the kit but never really rode it as l sold the bike, the installation went easily except l only had one takegawa rocker shaft so just used the one from the Daytona, which is a lot shorter, it works fine but still disappointing the kit never came with two.. Started up second kit...

Have you riden any off the +R set ups, how would you think a 150/160+R would compare to say a KLX155 V2, l say this as this was my last engine and l would like more on this build, but saying that most of my racing is grasscross, some mx and the odd enduro, so l need to be able to get the power...

How did the 150+R compare to the other set-ups? Do you think there will be much gain going 160+R? Anyone else got any feed back on the Takegawa +R head on the Daytona?

Looking forward to the vid grnman. Spoke to the guys in the US, they have had a few crank failures, so they're working on a new billet crank that will utilise the takegawa ignition cover, that has a bearing pressed into the cases. Also heard that Daytona are making some heavy duty cases...

    Axels Stocka Build!!!!!!!!

Fair enough mate, the mod is well easy if you've got a hacksaw. I was of the opinion that the Fast50 small bore pipe was the way to go if you wan't to run an aftermarket exhaust system..

    Axels Stocka Build!!!!!!!!

Racing stockers is cool, and your build is looking mint. You'll get more power out of the engine using a stock modified pipe rather than an aftermarket one, l was running the sweet fast50 one, but got rid as the stock one modded is better.

I spoke to BBR a while back about upgrade kits and they said the 160 crank and DOHC was just a plug and play gig. Their test riders said it was too violent in the dirt and went back to the 150 set up.

That's good info, have you had any issues with the clutch basket rubbers? If so how long are they lasting?

I would prefere the dohc kit, l don't mind doing the oil, filter and checking tappets, the easy quick stuff lol Do you know anyone with the dohc and how long it has lasted, or how long the bottom end has held up?

I'm not in a massive hurry to get this sorted as l got this bike late on in the season, which has only got two races remaining... From what l hear Daytona have developed a new clutch basket with different rubbers, which actually lasts, so l would like one of those and l want more power and...
