Never worked on a bike in my life...yet

So finally got some time to get back to working on it because work was a little slow today. Got the head off and there was oil all over the gasket both sides. Cylinder looked good no scars in it or anything. Just kinda went with my gut for taking the thing apart (never done a head gasket on an...

Never worked on a bike in my life...yet

I'm about 75% sure I know what is up now. I think somehow I blew the head gasket or the oil rings. It seems like these are the types of symptoms of either of those with the burning tons of oil, pouring out of the exhaust, leaking from the between the head and cylinder. So guess my next step is...

Yeah I think its around those numbers. Of course me being impatient at times didn't measure how much fluid goes into the lines turbo etc which I had initially planned on doing before ever starting it. Yeah they were fairly cheap and figured I'd replace both so they'd match. Yeah I think...

Never worked on a bike in my life...yet

Yeah I think on the bottle it said ok for wet clutches or something? I think I may have found on of the problems with the oil leaking ^^^The bolt I had left loose was completely out on the turbo. Hoping that was just letting the oil get past into the turbo itself causing the pouring out of...

Going to try tightening everything up and order a new exhaust pipe gasket (for between the head and the exhaust pipe) if I can't find the original. But it is spinning a little better now...

What about boxing the frame? Do you think it'd help out to keep it from cracking and having problems?

Thanks man. The race track is where my addiction to modifying vehicles began. Going up there to watch my dad's buddy's 1967 Chevy Nova SS with a SBC with a procharger I think it is. Car is spotless and is in the 8's in the 1/4th and still streetable. Chromed out engine bay etc. Got me wanting to...

This is awesome. Spent at the very least an hour reading and looking at it all. Soooo tempting to start something like this for myself now. If only there was room. Reminds me of things like the CBR engines in the golf carts. Keep up the amazing work. You have some great fabrication skills
