I was able to get around 115 PSI average with three different gauges. Three gauges all gave three different readings. Low reading was 105, High reading was 120. This was a wet test. I opened the cylinder head as well and just checked out what was going on inside. Cylinder walls still...

Yes I'm holding the throttle wide open and kicking seven to eight times at least I made sure the arrow is pointing towards the exhaust side I don't know about the crown the pin height but the piston I took out looked completely stock. I check the compression right after installing the Rings and...

Have you checked the compression since you Skimmed the head? I am wondering what the correct compression should be on this bike. My DS80 has lost compression since rebuild with all new gaskets and I was thinking maybe this might be my problem too. I had about 88 PSI before Top end rebuild...

After running in some more. (engine has about 1 hour to 1 and half on it) I checked the compression. the compression is now worse than it was when I started. it was around 88 PSI and now reads like 65 PSI. I dont understand this. I have finally gotten the bike to run somewhat or at least...

I have completely cleared the Exhaust. Burned out all the old carbon and oil. No washer in the exhaust port either. Also the muffler has been cleared and cleaned.

The filter has oil on it and is new. What should I do for the Rev hang. . Screw the mixture screw in or out? Why do you think the idle is changing?

Ok. Got rod to pass through the jet in prior post. All back together with float at 21 mm. Bike no longer bogs down at half or more throttle. It would idle good and seemed to rev well with good throttle response. See the video and tell me what you think. I put the needle clip in...

LOL... Ok.. Got that out.. Newer diagram for carb helped. . Comes out opposite of the older model. The cleaning rod I'm using won't go all the way through this pilot jet should it

Ok..I will move float level to 21. and Put the needle valve back to the center. See what happens after I reset the mixture and idle. And ensure oil injection is plugged fully

Ok I am pretty sure that one is plugged. Or has a cover over it. I may need to plug it up better. The rear one I dont think is plugged at all

    2000 Suzuki DS80 build

It's a factory DS80 shop manual with index in the rear for the newer models. . Could not find anything on float measurement on the newer carb. . So I used the only one listed at 26mm. The oil tank was removed before I got the bike. . I dont know where the oil is injected to the crab.. So it...

Thank you sounds like a great place to start. I had to really bend the tab to get 26mm. That should have told me something was wrong.

The vent is clear, and filter is clean. I did reset the mixture screw. It really ran better after first float adjustment. It finally ran like I expected it to run but after ridding for two to three mins pretty hard it was like starving for fuel and you had to really slow down and idle a bit...
